Lessons at LearnIt Cambridge usually take place online and last for one hour. This does not mean that other formats are not available, so for any other arrangements (for example, length, location, etc) please get in touch.

A personalised approach is at the core of our tutoring so the maximum number of students in a class is capped at 3.

The content of classes is adapted to the individual or group’s needs. Generally, however, our aim is to achieve balance between the different aspects of language learning – that is all four language skills (speaking, writing, reading and listening) through language knowledge (vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and conversation rules).

The materials that will be used will also be chosen depending on the profiles of the learners. A combination of resources created for you here at LearnIt Cambridge, of the most scientifically up-to-date books and of online materials guarantees that the right resources will be used to help you learn English in the most efficient way possible.

One-to-ones are the only setting in which the student is asked to book lessons on a rolling basis (at the end of the calendar month for the next calendar month). Group lessons are organised as courses and students commit for a set number of lessons – usually eight.

Below is an honest overview of the pros and cons of the different class sizes, based on many years of teaching classes of these sizes. At the bottom of the page, you will find the price per hour for each setting.

One-to-ones

One-to-ones are the classes that allow for the most personalised approach to learning English. Each hour spent together is tailored to you and your linguistic strengths and needs. Together, we will improve your grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and use in context; we will work on your conversational skills as well as writing and reading, boosting your confidence in using English independently right from the start. Plus, they are also the most flexible setting: if you can’t make it to a lesson, just give us more than 24 hours’ notice and we will postpone it to a date within the next 60 days!

Two-to-ones

Two-to-ones are a good way to save some money and still have plenty of time dedicated to individual linguistic needs. Whether you would like to join with a friend or wait for us to pair you up with another student of the same level, this setting helps you learn English without the need to give up the social side of learning with somebody else.

Three-to-ones

Three-to-ones are the most affordable setting in which you can learn English with LearnIt Cambridge. Although each student does not get as much time as they would in either of the other settings, this does not mean that the lessons are any less effective: the time may seem to fly by, but each minute of that time is thought out and planned to help you improve.
